Job description - To provide Pre-Sales Technical Support to IBM and Business Partners on the following products; Power, Storage and System z.
- Analyze customers' business environment, and develop best solution for customers, based on customers' requirements and IT budget. Setup Server/Storage system to perform POC or Benchmarking.
The Pre-Sales Technical Sales Support is to provide support to the following areas:
- Capacity Planning and sizing
- Design initial solutions and provide value add recommendations
- Provide product technical information
- Provide competitive product positioning
- Perform configurations
- Technical Assurance on Configurations
- Perform ISV sizing on hardware servers
Language Requirements
- English: Fluent in both verbal and written communication
Education Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology
Desired experience:
- 1-2 years working experience on hardware server products in a Pre-Sales or Post Sales environment is a plus.
- Have drive and self motivation for technical knowledge and passion to setup Server/Storage system to perform POC or Benchmarking'.
Technical Skills requirement:
- Good System Hardware server skills on Intel or Unix servers
- Knowledge of Windows and/or Unix/Linux Operating Systems
- Well versed with Microsoft suite of products like, excel, PowerPoint and word doc.
- Knowledge on IBM Hardware products would be a plus
